Dorianyou should get used to it, because lost alpha is for SoC engine, not for Call of Pripyat
and no one is forced to use r2. i think if anyone played r2 in soc or cs, already got used to the transparent buildings, unless gsc used 2-300meters for view distance, so then the buildings werent visible at all. on this screen, we use 1000meter view distance.
KV38:I was never a build-fan, we want to make our dream game, but we are in 2011, plus i guess you noticed, that we released all builds of old stalker, then its time to move on, and do something... which is a bit better. Lost Alpha contained many "not old stalker related" features from the beginning, and now, for r2 mode, we added 6 new weather cycles + lost alpha weather. I dont see any stepback/drawback when you expand you work, and you dont delete the previous. Its just a bit more dynamic, and you wont see the same 10 skyboxes all the time when you play for days
I don't know why people consider lost alpha's strenght in weather. The old weather cycle I edited is made only for r1, it looks ugly in r2, we never considered to use the r1 weather in r2 mode, but now, the creator of Atmosfear will tune it up for r2, and it will be used among with these 6 new cycles. We keep our r1 and r2 weathers in separate folders. This way we wont ruin the r1 weather cycles.
